School Handbook
I don’t think each school will need an individual parent page. All information will be relayed through the news and announcements page. Most important parent information is universal across the district and available on the main district website.
Parent Information

-
Joining the parent committee at Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary School is one of the most impactful ways you can support your child's education. Since Thomas Jefferson is a Title 1 school with an economically disadvantaged student population of roughly 95%, federal law requires the school to give parents a direct voice in how funding is spent

🏫 Why Your Voice Matters at Thomas Jefferson
-
When you join the committee, you aren't just volunteering for school events—you are legally a partner in the school's decision-making process. At Thomas Jefferson Upper Elementary, your input on the committee will directly impact:
-
The Title 1 Budget: Parents help decide how federal funds are distributed, such as investing in extra tutoring, specific math or reading software, or purchasing classroom technology.
-
The School-Parent Compact: The committee reviews and approves this mandatory agreement, which outlines the shared responsibilities of teachers, students, and parents to boost academic success.
-
The Family Engagement Policy: You will help design how the school communicates with families, including scheduling parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and family literacy or STEM nights.
