Meet Our Principal
Mr. Landon Sapp
Mr. Sapp was a middle school social studies teacher and coach for 15 years, and became the principal of Start Elementary School in 2019. In 2022 he became the principal of Neville Junior High and joined the Neville family. He has enjoyed witnessing first-hand the pride and love that our community has for the Neville Nation.
He has been married to his wonderful wife for 15 years, Andrea, and they have one child, Jacob. Outside of school, he is actively involved in coaching youth sports in our community, and he is an avid outdoorsman and has a deep love for hunting and fishing.
A fun fact about Coach Sapp is that he loves to mow his yard and fire up his barbecue grill.
Meet Our
Vice Principal
Coach John Navarro
Coach Navarro has been in education since 2010 and joined Neville Junior High in 2015. He has deep roots in North Louisiana having played baseball at the high school and collegiate level in the area, and he also obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at ULM. He has been the athletic director and head football coach for four years at our school.

Outside of school, Coach Navarro loves to travel, explore local eateries, and spend time with his family. His wife, Toni, and his son, Chevy, are part of the MCS family as well. Toni is a former teacher in the district, and Chevy is a student at Neville.
When asked why he chooses to work at Neville Junior High, he said, “I live in this community, have a kid in the school system, and have friends and family who work here, so I believe NJH’s success is vital to my life and those who live here as well.”
Meet Our
Curriculum Coordinator
Mrs. Christina Nguyen
Mrs. Nguyen is our curriculum coordinator. Prior to taking on this new role, she taught gifted and honors 7th and 8th grade ELA at NJH, and she also taught 7th grade ELA for five years in Union Parish. Mrs. Nguyen is involved in numerous areas of our school from handling all of our social media and Remind groups, designing and writing the weekly newsletter each week, serving as our testing coordinator, managing our technology, and anything else that is needed.
Mrs. Nguyen bleeds black and gold, and she said, "there is no other place like Neville Junior High!"
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and binge watching TV shows.
