Martin Luther King, Jr.
JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Clubs and Organizations
At Martin Luther King, Jr. Junior High School, we pride ourselves on offering a wide array of extracurricular activities that inspire and engage every student. Our robust clubs and organizations include band, orchestra, choir, both talented and regular art programs, as well as Beta Club, 4-H, and robotics. Our students also thrive in dance, cheer, gaming club, and specialized groups like weightlifting, drone club, and pep squad. Here at MLK, we believe in a wealth of opportunities for every child to explore their passions and develop leadership skills—both in and out of the classroom.
MLK Band

-
Our band program at Martin Luther King, Jr. Junior High is a dynamic and enriching experience, led by the talented Mr. Dillard Sims, a proud graduate of Grambling State University. Our band performs at school football games, energizing pep rallies, festive Christmas concerts, and our annual Black History Program. In addition, they shine in local band festivals and culminate the year with a spring concert. Beyond the school walls, our band members also participate in a variety of community events, spreading the joy of music and teamwork wherever they go.
