Dr. Heather Kennedy
I am so excited to serve as the Principal of Lexington Elementary School. It is an honor to work alongside our wonderful staff, students, families, and community. I look forward to watching our students learn and grow this school year. Together, I know we can provide the strong foundation every student needs to thrive and succeed.

Assistant Principal
Katherine Flowers
It is an honor to be the assistant principal of Lexington Elementary! I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Mississippi and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from The University of Mississippi. Over my 18+ years in education, I've had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher across various grade levels and as a curriculum coordinator. My goal is to build strong relationships with our staff, students, and families to foster a positive and inclusive school environment where every child can shine. Outside of school, I stay busy with the various activities of my husband and our 2 children. I love to cook, arrange flowers, cheer for the Neville Tigers & the Ole Miss Rebels, and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to an amazing school year together!

Dexter Houston
With 28 years of dedicated experience in education, I have committed my career to the belief that good education is the single most important tool a person can possess. I truly believe that education has the power to open doors and take students to places they would have never otherwise imagined. My core philosophy is that every child can learn. While they may not all learn today, or in the very same way, they all possess the capacity to succeed. Outside of the classroom, I am happily married, and we are the proud parents of five wonderful children.
